Monochrome Leaf

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well.

I finally got back in my craft room after an absence of several months (more on that later) so that I could make a card for my Guest Designer spot today at AAA Birthday 

This month's challenge theme is 'Monochrome'

You can use shades of any one colour (and it has to be a birthday card). Given the autumnal feel to the weather at the moment I went for orange.

Just a quick post to share a card I made with the fabulous Weird Fish stamp set from Funky Fossil.

I coloured them in with promarkers and used spritzed distress inks for the background.

I won this lovely little stamp/die set called 'Winsome Bloom' by Altenew over at Bizzy Becs challenge a couple of months ago (thank you Bec :D ) and needed to make a female birthday card, so I thought I would take it for a spin.

Waving Hearts

Today's card features a lil' cutie from a Tracey Hey stamp set called 'Friends'
 

There's a challenge on this month to use the little accent stamps that you get with the main Tracey Hey images, and I've managed to get in four of them on my card.

Background Leftovers

Hello lovely peeps and welcome to my new follower KandA.

 

When I made the background for my daisies card I started with a full sheet of A4 watercolour card and cut it down. I loved the half that was left over so I decided to use it for a cleaner looking card. 

Cheerful Mother's Day

This is the card that I made for my lovely Mum for Mother's Day here in the UK today. I'm so looking forward to seeing her again when lockdown is over.
   

 I got my inspiration for this card from Cindy Beach at Stamps, Paper and Ink but I did mine with stamping rather than stencilling. I just love the cheerful colours.

Mother's Day Wildflowers

Morning everyone and welcome to my three new followers.

 

With one week to go until Mother's Day here in the UK I thought I'd better get on and show a couple more cards that I made for the occasion.

Get Well Soon OLC

One of my neighbours had a mishap on the stairs last week so I did up a quick get well card for her.
 

The flower stamp is from an Artemio set and I used distress inks to stamp it out in various colours  (dusty concord, seedless preserves, festive berries, ripe persimmon, spiced marmalade and mustard seed). The colours are slightly faded because I used second generation ink.

Angel Fish

I've had a play with Craftascope's All the 8's stencil to make the background for today's card.
 

Leonie Pujol did this technique on hochanda a week or two ago - you put inks on your craft mat and spritz with water then put your stencil in the ink and 'stamp' with it.

Autumn colours

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are all well.

I love this time of year - leaves falling, beautiful colours, and hopefully still a bit of sunshine - so I didn't have to look far for the inspiration for my card today.  

I'm taking a break from stamping at the moment so dragged some of my dies out instead. The leaves are by Craftascope and the sentiment is from a Crafters Companion advent calendar. To get the coloured card I smooshed distress inks onto my craft mat and dragged white card through before drying.

Every cloud

Hello lovely peeps, I do hope you are well in these troubling times.

Every cloud has a silver lining. With my hours cut at work because of the coronavirus pandemic I now have some spare time to craft.

I made this card for my nephew's 21st, using stamps, stencils and distress inks.
