Archie's 1st Birthday

This is the second card I made for my god-daughter's little boy Archie (after I made his giraffe card into a framed picture).

I used an old 'Baby with Teddy' stamp from Lili of the Valley, stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks.  You can still get him as a digi here - and I've just seen that there's 50% off most of the items in store for the next couple of days so it's the perfect time to get him if you want.

Wading among the Pebbles

Do you remember the other circle background that I painted last Sunday that hubby said looked like pebbles? I've made it into a seaside card using one of the wading bird stamps from Crafty Individuals (set CI-349)

The sentiment is from the Fancy Sayings stamp set by Clearly Besotted

Giraffe frame

A little picture frame for you today, which I made for my goddaughter's little boy (he was 1 yesterday).

It was going to be his card originally but I was so pleased with how the giraffe came out I decided to make it up into a picture.

Going round in circles

A bit of 'mixed media' for you today, using Aall & Create stamps.

I had great fun yesterday painting watercolour circles after being inspired by a video on Pinterest by kristina del bano

Little Rabbit

Happy weekend everyone :D

I coloured this Gorjuss 'I love you little rabbit' image over a year ago so it was ideal when I needed to make a quick card up.

Background Leftovers

Hello lovely peeps and welcome to my new follower KandA.

When I made the background for my daisies card I started with a full sheet of A4 watercolour card and cut it down. I loved the half that was left over so I decided to use it for a cleaner looking card.

Hip hip ...

Hip hip hooray, I'm booked in for my covid jab in 2 days :D

I think these guys are celebrating a birthday rather than a vaccination though!

This card is a variation on one I did a few months back with Oddball Shopper from Stamping Bella  and Leonie's "In a Spin" die. These cuties are from stamp set #51 by Olga Heldwein for Aall & Create.

Cheerful Mother's Day

This is the card that I made for my lovely Mum for Mother's Day here in the UK today. I'm so looking forward to seeing her again when lockdown is over.

I got my inspiration for this card from Cindy Beach at Stamps, Paper and Ink but I did mine with stamping rather than stencilling. I just love the cheerful colours.

Calendar page for April

I've finished another page of my handmade calendar, this time with an Easter theme.

The image is 'Hoppy Easter' from Lili of the Valley - a digi which I printed straight onto the card before I cut it down. I increased the brightness before printing so the lines were fainter.

Mother's Day Daisies

My penultimate Mother's Day card for you today. I can't share my last one until Sunday because my Mum follows my blog (hello Mum!) :D

I've used one of the Daisy Elegance stamps by Tracey Evans for Aall & Create, stamped up with different shades of green distress inks. The background was done with distress oxides smooshed onto watercolour card.

Mother's Day Wildflowers

Morning everyone and welcome to my three new followers.

With one week to go until Mother's Day here in the UK I thought I'd better get on and show a couple more cards that I made for the occasion.

Get Well Soon OLC

One of my neighbours had a mishap on the stairs last week so I did up a quick get well card for her.

The flower stamp is from an Artemio set and I used distress inks to stamp it out in various colours  (dusty concord, seedless preserves, festive berries, ripe persimmon, spiced marmalade and mustard seed). The colours are slightly faded because I used second generation ink.

Country Rose

Another CAS card today but this time just using dies/punches.

I bought this lovely 'Country Rose' panel die (Sizzix thinlits) a couple of years ago but as usual it's been sat unused since then. I came to the conclusion a while ago that my main hobby is actually shopping for craft supplies rather than crafting :D

Mothers Day Lilies

A 'clean and simple' card for you today featuring my MIL's favourite flower.

I used grey memento ink for stamping the lilies (Sheena Douglass, A Little Bit Floral) onto Crafters Companion watercolour cardstock.  To add the colour I used distress inks picked up with a paintbrush (diluted picked raspberry, shabby shutters, rusty hinge)
