Present Bella

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well.

I've got an 18th birthday card to share with you today, using 'Posh has a Present' by Stamping Bella. The papers are from a digital paper pack called 'Doodle Deux' by Prima which I got at Snap Click Supply. As they are digital papers I was able to add a personalised sentiment on my computer before printing.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-

Hello lovely peeps

It's the first Saturday of the month so it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar. The sponsor this month is Lemon Shortbread and our theme is Autumn.

Sausage Dog Bridesmaid

Hello lovely peeps

I realized I haven't shared this commissioned wedding card with you yet.  I was asked for a personalised card for the couple's big day in May, possibly featuring a winnebago or a sausage dog (their's was going to be part of the wedding party). Well it was going to be hard to make a winnebago look romantic, so I went with the dog theme.

Fairy Tiptoe on Throwback Tuesday

Hello lovely peeps

As I mentioned last week, I have run out of older cards to show you so I will showcase my older stamps on Throwback Tuesdays from now on.

By happy coincidence the theme for this month's Lili of the Valley Challenge is 'Retro' - make something with the first LOTV image you bought (or one of the first if you can't remember exactly).

Double Pleated Card

Hello lovely peeps

It was Kristi's turn to bring an idea to our craft club last Thursday and we did double pleated cards. Once you get your head around them they are quite straightforward to make and I think they look very elegant.

Mine was made with double-sided papers from the A4 'Butterfly' pad by Prima and a loop of dotty organza ribbon. The circle sentiment was a magazine freebie stamp from Lili of the Valley.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-

Little Birdie for Leonie

Hello lovely peeps

This is one of the cards that made an appearance on the Leonie Let Loose show last Wednesday.
I started with a square of Sheena's stamping card and coloured it with Distress Inks

I built up a scene with Leonie's stamps and black Archival ink  - starting with the branch from the Branching out set

To make it extend off the side I turned the branch around and stamped it again.
The large and small paisley stamps from the Inky Notes set make the bodies of my birds.

'Paint' the inside of the paisleys with water and blot with kitchen towel to remove the colour.
I drew in legs and beaks with a fineliner pen

and added black pearls for the eyes

Add on leaves (also from the Branching out set) :-

I matted and layered it on black card and a Prima paper (Paper Firefly)

To finish off I printed a sentiment from my computer, cut it up and outlined it. I doodled on a couple of musical notes and added feathers cut with a Joy Crafts die

So many presents

Hello peeps
I've got another pink card to share with you today.

This image is 'So many presents' from the 'Party & Cake' Art Pad from LOTV (retired).  I've matted her on Nitwit papers - 'Always and Forever Solid' and 'Romance and Roses'. The sentiment in the corner is a clear stamp from LOTV 'Sentiments to Fit Scroll'.

To bling it up a bit I added glitter to the flower on her hat and the hem of her dress.

For embellishments I've coloured some plain white mulberry paper flowers with a pink alcohol marker (Marvy V750) and glued some sparkly gems in the centre. The large gem is coloured with Graph'It marker 9307 to make it darker.

I made 'leaves' from the petals of a large flower - I coloured them with GI marker 9303 and then dabbed them with PVA glue and sprinkled glitter on.

Rosie Posy

Hello lovely peeps. Hope you're having a great weekend.

Just a quick card this evening which I've made using one of the images from the retired Lili of the Valley art pads 'Party and Cake'. My hands are a bit gyppy at the moment so I'm limiting my colouring in where possible.

For inspiration I used Sketch #5 from the old Lili of the Valley blog
and added the flowers/ribbon in the corner.

The two main papers are from the Butterfly Kisses collection from Nitwit. I adjusted the brightness of the dotty one before printing but I'm thinking it's too pale now I'm looking at it on the finished card. The small scrap of check paper is from the Country Meadow collection and the greeting is one of the stamps in the 'Simply Sophisticated' set from Lili of the Valley.

The gorgeous paper flowers are from Prima and I've added Creative Expressions dazzlers for the centres.

Butterfly Parcels

Morning lovely peeps.

A quick sneaky peek of my Mum's birthday card.

I cut the base shape from a folded sheet of strong A4 card. The 'parcels' are rectangles cut from Prima papers and edged with distress ink. I've tied ribbon around them before attaching to the card base.

I stamped and embossed the butterflies onto acetate with Versamark/white embossing powder and cut them out. They're attached with PVA glue at the centres and I've added a few gems for butterfly trails.

The flower was a pale pink shade that didn't match, so I coloured it with a Graph'It marker.

The tags are from the LOTV sentiment tags set, stamped onto matching papers.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-

And now for something completely different ...

Hello peeps, hope you are well.
 .
A bit of a departure from my usual style today - I thought I'd have a go at a 'mixed media' card.

For the background I started off with a paper from the 'Buff' paper pad by Prima/Julie Nutting.
I went around the edges with Vintage Photo, Victorian Velvet and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks and then I dabbed some more ink through the 'Bubble' stencil by Clarity Stamp to create the dots.
Once it was dry, I stamped and embossed the floral stamp (from the 'Nature I' set by Indigo Blu) with Versamark & white embossing powder.
In the top right corner I spread some texture paste through the 'Butterfly Tree' stencil by Clarity Stamp (I'd masked off the tree part) and then sprinkled on fine white glitter. After leaving it overnight to dry I then splattered on a little bit of watered down paint around the edges of the card.
To make the trio of toppers I cut squares of paper from the 'Butterfly' paper pad by Prima/Jodie Lee and edged them with DI before matting them onto some mesh. The butterflies (Papermania) are stamped and embossed onto acetate with Versamark/white embossing powder, then cut out. I folded the wings over and put PVA glue on the 'body' part to attach them to the paper squares.

The Happy Birthday (Stamps Away) was done with brown Stazon because it's stamped over the top of glossy embossing powder.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
