Rosie Posy

Hello lovely peeps. Hope you're having a great weekend.

Just a quick card this evening which I've made using one of the images from the retired Lili of the Valley art pads 'Party and Cake'. My hands are a bit gyppy at the moment so I'm limiting my colouring in where possible.

For inspiration I used Sketch #5 from the old Lili of the Valley blog
and added the flowers/ribbon in the corner.

The two main papers are from the Butterfly Kisses collection from Nitwit. I adjusted the brightness of the dotty one before printing but I'm thinking it's too pale now I'm looking at it on the finished card. The small scrap of check paper is from the Country Meadow collection and the greeting is one of the stamps in the 'Simply Sophisticated' set from Lili of the Valley.

The gorgeous paper flowers are from Prima and I've added Creative Expressions dazzlers for the centres.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-

Allsorts Challenge Blog #346 - Girly and Sparkly
Fab'n'Funky challenge #287 For a child
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog #260 Anything Goes

As you like it - Favourite Paper or Non Paper Project (and why) - Has to be paper for me, they're so pretty. Even if I'm making something with MDF/mountboard  etc. I have to cover it in paper :)

 Thank you for stopping by,

Baby Steps

Afternoon Peeps, hope you are well.

Just sharing the inside step card I made at club on Thursday.
It just needed finishing off this morning as I had done everything apart from adding the tags. Then I planned to get on and make lots of cards for an upcoming fete.

Sadly my mojo has gone walkies.
Before deciding on this arrangement I wasted an hour moving around different colour tags/buttons/card candi. Then it took me two hours to make another card that I wasn't happy with. Grrrr.

So I've quit while I'm behind, and I'm now watching the tennis with some Pimms and strawberries :D

Anyway, I used papers from the 'Country Meadow' and the 'Always and Forever - Solids' paper pads.
Sentiment Tags Stamp set from LOTV
X-Cut heart punch
'baby' letters cut using Craft Robo
'NEW' letters cut by hand - I used the 'negative' part of some old chipboard letters to trace them out.
Forever Friends stickers from Docrafts

Challenges:-
Scrap & Craft Inspiration - Celebrations
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Sweet
The Ribbon Girl - ANYTHING GOES WITH THE OPTION OF ADDING STARS AND/OR STRIPES
Crafting by designs - Re-use or recycle (I've re-used the scrap from my chipboard letters as a template)

Ooh, almost forgot - there's a fab Summer Clearance Sale over at Lili of the Valley.
It's free worldwide shipping on all orders over £10 and there is a massive 50% off on selected lines and 20-25% off many other items. I've already had one spending spree :D

Ta ra for now,

He loves me ...

Morning peeps, some exciting news today!

To tie in with the Summer Special Day at their shop on Saturday, Lili of the Valley are running a challenge on their Facebook page. It will run til Thursday and has the theme of 'Summer'.
There's fab prizes on offer, why not have a go?

I've made my first Design Collective card for June on the Summer theme. Daisies look so pretty growing in the lawn during the summer and who hasn't tried this fun little test on their first young romance?

I started off by colouring in the lovely 'James - Daisy' stamp with Graph'It markers

I layered this onto a paper from the 'Always and Forever - Solids' Paper Pad
Then I wrapped some ribbon around one of the papers in the 'Country Meadow' paper pad and stuck it to my base card (7" x 7"). I ended up having to twist them because I'd attached them the wrong way round, but by happy accident it looks much better this way!

For the daisy petals I printed off the words on my computer and drew petal shapes around them before cutting out. I shaped them a little before attaching with silicone glue

The flowers are made with more Country Meadow papers and a punch, with white glitter dots for the centres.

Well, let's hope this will encourage the summer weather to arrive soon!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:-
Creative Inspirations - Pastel Shades
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Too cute
A gem of a challenge - Flowers
As you like it - Favourite Decade/Period in life - My favourite period was childhood summers - long sunny days playing in the garden, country walks, visits to the beach and, of course, icecream!

Hope you have a lovely day everyone,
Katrina x
