Happy Times and cake anxiety

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are all well.

Jut a quick post to show you the card I made for my brother-in-law, using Happy Times and one of the Statements - Fabulous stamps from LOTV.

I'm having a third attempt today at making a special cake for my hubby's 50th birthday - I have bitten off way more than I can chew, so to speak, since I'm not much of a baker. The first attempt was disastrous and the second attempt was edible but I'm not happy with the flavour (plus part of it broke), so I'm hoping for third time lucky today. I'll share a photo with you later in the week if it's presentable, lol. I may end up buying one from Asda :D

Fabulous Birthday

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are all well.

Just popping in with a card that was inspired by one of Melissa Goodman's creations for Lili of the Valley DT using one of the statement stamps. She used the clean lines version of the digi but I only have the polymer stamps (at the moment!) so mine is the grungy version.

I added a couple of words from the large birthday sentiments set and then stamped 'Teddy Flower' over the top. I also stamped him onto supersmooth paper then coloured in and cut him out. This way it's simpler to cut out but you still get all the details of his fur etc.  from the base image underneath.

Glued to his screen

Hello lovely peeps

Another commissioned card to show you today, for my friend's Grandson who is always glued to his phone/tablet. I've used the rubber version of Oliver Texting from Lili of the Valley, which you can still get as a digi here.

Oliver Studying for LOTV and Giveaway Winner

Hello lovely peeps

Today I have another card made using 'Oliver Studying' which will be released on Saturday at Lili of the Valley.

First I coloured a 6x6 square of Sheena's stamping card with Frayed Burlap and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks and then overstamped with one of the LOTV Just To Say statement stamps (these are now available as digis here).

The main image was printed onto 300gsm watercolour card - I brightened it first in my graphics program so that the lines were not so dark - this makes them less likely to bleed when colouring with water-based pens.

After leaving it to dry overnight I coloured the image with Distress Markers:-
Tattered Rose, Bundled Sage, Hickory Smoke, Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap

The thought bubble was cut from watercolour card using a Sizzix Die called 'Thought Talk Bubbles' and I stamped letters inside using Retro Alphabet by MSE before doodling in the border.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
