New Home

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well.  Apologies for the lack of posts and visiting your own blogs to comment. Between work, gardening and my new crafty addiction (more to come on that soon), I've not had much time left for blogland.

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my friend to give her son and partner when they moved into their new home.

She sent me pictures of the house beforehand and it's so lovely I wanted to move there myself :D
I decided to do a variation on an easel card I designed a few years ago but designed it specifically to look like their new house.

There is a beautiful stream running past too so I have incorporated that onto the base of the easel.

Ingredients:
Tim Holtz (Sizzix) mini tattered florals and garden greens dies
Cheery Lynn fence die
various scraps of paper
LOTV circle sentiment stamp
wadding for the chimney smoke
watercolour card and grey paint for the windows/door

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-

It's Christmoose

Hello lovely peeps

It's the first Saturday of the month (aargh, it's December already) so it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar. Our theme this month is "It's Christmas".

We have two fab sponsors this month:-

and

For my inspiration card I've used Moose Ornaments from Bugaboo, which I printed onto Simply the Best card from Limetree Crafts and coloured with Promarkers/Flexmarkers (with a couple of Graph'Its/Marvy markers thrown in).

To turn the picture into a bauble I die-cut it into a circle and then cut out the cap and hook shape* from a scrap of yellow card. I edged both pieces with Antique Linen distress ink and added a green organza bow.

* (I enlarged the 'red' bauble on my computer until it was the same size as my die-cut circle, printed it onto thin paper and cut it out to make a template)

Other ingredients:-
computer sentiment using Troutkings font
Cookin Cookies papers from Nitwit
Sizzix holly die
standard 2 hole punch
white uni-ball gel pen
red card
3D foam

A New Home

Hello Peeps.
Hope you are well :)

Just sharing this house-shaped easel card, my second July card for the LOTV Design Collective.

The papers are all from the Heartfelt 8x8 paper pad and the
sentiment is from the For You Circular Sentiments stamp set, both Lili of the Valley.

The stepping stones and chimney are cut from grey Bazill card.
I also used a die-sire die for the grass (Icicles), an old flower punch
and the Woodland Branch die from Memory Box
The chimney smoke is cotton wool.
