I made this card for a husband and wife who have retired at the same time. 

Finally Finished Project

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well.

Some of the bits for this project have been sitting in a cello bag for the last 4 years, lol. The background is one of Leonie Pujol's stamps (Flights of Fancy), clear embossed on white card and then inked over with distress inks.

I also clear embossed one of the leaves that I die-cut from snippets of green patterned paper. 

The little orange butterflies were cut from a tiny scrap of textured card using Impression Obsession dies - it shifted slightly as it went through my machine so the corner of one butterfly was missing but as I didn't have enough card to do another one I tucked it underneath one of the leaves to disguise it.

Embossed Daisy

Today's card uses stamps by Visible Image - "Flower Inkognito" which I heat embossed with Versamark and white embossing powder onto patterned paper, and a sentiment from the "Go To Words" set.

I just love these new Large Birthday Sentiments from Lili of the Valley  (can you tell, lol). Today I've used them with white embossing powder on Kraft card.

Frozen Snowflakes

Today you can see one of the gorgeous new Frozen Snowflakes papers from Lili of the Valley in it's full glory. I've stamped on 'Greetings' and 'at Christmas' from the Large Christmas Greetings set in Versamark and sprinkled on white embossing powder before heat setting.

The twine/pearls/ribbon came together on a roll from Lidl.

Carol Singing Bunny

Our new Facebook Group 'We Love Lili of the Valley' is going really well. Nearly 500 members as I write, 145 projects shared so far, and a lovely encouraging atmosphere. I do hope you will join us if you haven't already.

For today's card I've used the same Noel stamp as in my last post (from the Large Christmas Greetings set by Lili of the Valley), but gone for a completely different look.

Happy Day for Leonie

It's a happy day today - lots of Leonie on the telly :o)
As well as 'Let Leonie Loose' at 11 and 2, she is back on Hochanda at 8pm to kick off her one day special Sale shows.

My card today was made with her latest collection - 'Typography'

I started by heat embossing some of the Funky Tree and Fly Free stamps with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder onto Sheena's stamping card to make three different patterned strips.

Each panel was coloured with a different distress ink and wiped with kitchen towel to remove the ink from the embossed areas

Cut the strips down into squares and ink around all of the edges

To make a colour co-ordinated background for the squares to sit on I dabbed the same inks onto my craft mat, spritzed them and dragged some card through the ink

Once that was dry I inked around the edges with Pumice Stone

I arranged the squares onto the background and the added a mix of Leonie's letters, die-cut from plum coloured card.

To finish off I matted and layered onto plum and white card and added some plum ribbon.

Follow Your Dreams for Leonie

I've got a quick and easy sample from Leonie's second launch to show you today, using the Flights of Fancy Background stamp and one of the sentiments from Off She Flew. This was my second card to make it onto the packaging, it was such a thrill to see it on there :D

First I embossed the background stamp onto Sheena's stamping card with Versamark ink and clear detail embossing powder.

I coloured the card with Picked Raspberry and Dusty Concord Distress Inks using a blending tool. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of the same card with black memento ink and then matted the background and the sentiment onto my card with a white mat in between.

To finish off I've glued on some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts with silicone glue.
