Serena in a spin

Hello lovely peeps and welcome to my new follower :o)

I've got a spinner card for you today which I made with 'Serena has a sign' from Stamping Bella.
It took a bit of planning and a few binned attempts, but here's how I made it.

First I stamped Serena onto Simply the Best card, cut out the inside of the sign to make an aperture and stamped words either side of it. I also cut a semi-circle out of the side which enables you to catch hold of the spinny bit on the finished card.

Now most of the potential for botching it up is out of the way I made the spinny bit.
Attach a large circle of card to a card blank by using a brad/split pin.

I placed my topper over the card base and pencilled in where the aperture was ...

then kept turning the spinner, tracing through the aperture each time.
Once I had all the spaces marked out I stamped a word in each one.

I added some foam tape to the corners of my base card - make sure to keep free of the spinner area

I coloured in Serena with Promarkers then, to give her something to stand on, I cut the presents and 'ribbons' by hand from patterned paper.

and added doodles around the edge of the card, presents and spinner.

The finished card with another word showing.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
