Top 5 of 2017

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you had a great Christmas.

Hubby and I had a lovely day with Mum and my sister & family, then came home on Boxing Day. I was hoping to squeeze in a bit of crafting in before heading back to work on Thursday, but instead spent 3 days curled up on the sofa with a horrible throat infection where I could hardly swallow. Thankfully I'm now getting better and can eat solid food again, so (after I've tackled my massive pile of untouched Christmas chocolate) I'll be back to crafting in the New Year.

Since I have no new cards to show you yet I thought I'd run through my favourite 5 cards of 2017 instead.

The first is from March, using Leonie Pujol's stunning Funky Tree stamp - my favourite of all her products so far. I really enjoyed colouring it in and I love the rustic look of the finished card.

Next up is the card I made for Lili of the Valley's new Christmas release in July. There's lots of my favourite colour (red if you hadn't guessed) and I love the layout - it shows off the lovely image well but you can still see lots of the fab paper underneath (you may recall my New Year's Resolution for 2017 was to start using up my good papers - I've done pretty well with this but I still have shelves full so I might be using this layout quite often.)

August must have been a good month mojo wise as two of my Top 5 are from then.
I was delighted that these cute forest characters came with a Star Wars type pun, which made them ideal for Hubby's birthday card. The little lightsabers made him chuckle.

My other favourite from August was the card I made for a Guest Designer spot at As You Like It. I really love the bright colours on this one (and of course the punny sentiment).

The final one is from October when my Throwback Tuesday spot changed over from showing unblogged cards to showcasing old stamps. I was really chuffed with the subtle colouring on the fairy and I think it's probably the prettiest card I've ever made.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my selection. All that's left is to wish you a Happy New Year -  I hope 2018 brings you good health and happiness.

See you next year ;o)
