Snappy Birthday

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well
Welcome to my new followers, I'm thrilled to have you here.

It's the first Saturday of the month so it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar.
The theme this time is 'Summer Fun' and our sponsor is

with a fab prize of 7 digi stamps

They very kindly provided images for the Design Team to use and I chose 'Crab Boat' to make my card.

To start off I pulled the image into Craft Artist and sized it to fit a 6"x6" card. I added the sentiment using the Smarty Pants font and printed the project onto white card.

I thought the crab would look fab paper-pieced so I had a look through my stash of patterned papers and found a K&Co pad called Hopscotch full of lovely bright colours.

Making sure I didn't change the size of the image, I printed onto several different papers in the pad and then cut out the sails/boat/crab/sea in the colour/pattern I wanted.

I glued each piece into place on the base image with a Sakura Quickie Glue pen and added pale blue highlights to the cloud and his eyes with a Graph'It marker (7105)
Some doodled lines around the edge of the card finishes it off

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
Stamp, Ink, Paper #59 Funny or punny
Squirrels Not-So-Random Challenge #1 Anything Goes
Creatalicious Challenges #96 - ANYTHING GOES with optional at the sea/beach
Animal Friends Challenge  #41 Summer

Please pop on over to Crafty Calendar to see the fabulous samples from my teamies.
