In a Spin on Throwback Tuesday
Hello lovely peeps
This week's unblogged card features Leonie Pujol's In a Spin die.
First I used it to cut the outline in white card and glued this onto a cream textured card blank.
I cut the same shape from several different papers in the 'New Leaf' First Edition pad by Trimcraft and saved all the 'innie' bits [I saved the outlines for other projects, but there is no need to cut the whole design from each paper - you could use up all your little scraps of paper instead].
I glued the innie bits inside the gaps, with all parts of each circle having the same pattern.
The Best Wishes sentiment is from Leonie's Flight to Freedom stamp set, which I just stamped onto a circle of matching card.

Wedding Hanging for Leonie
Hello lovely peeps
I've got another make from the archives to show you today, made with Leonie Pujol's Off She Flew set and the Flights of Fancy Background
This is the top of the box
and here's the little hanging inside
To do the purple heart panels I tried a bit of kiss stamping - where you ink up one stamp with another.
I inked the solid heart from Off She Flew with Versamark and inked the Flights of Fancy Background with Black Memento, then pressed the background stamp onto the heart.
Next I stamped the background again onto some ivory card and rubbed over with the chalk.
A die-cut circle of the same size from plain ivory card was used as a backing - I glued some pale purple organza ribbon in between the two larger circles.
For the butterflies I stamped one of the images from the Flight to Freedom set onto white shrink plastic with black Stazon ink, then cut them out and heated to shrink.
For the panels on the hanging I stamped some of the word chains from Clarity Stamp, and the 'With Love' for the box lid was from Leonie's Off She Flew set
I'll be back in a few days with another oldie, but in the meantime don't forget to enter my giveaway if you'd like to win these goodies :o)

After I had done four of these I made eight flowers with a Tim Holtz Tattered Floral punch, more ivory card and some stamens. I inked the edges of the petals with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.

Pastel Butterflies for Leonie
Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well.
A quick card for you today, combining some of Leonie's stamps with patterned paper from my stash. I stamped one of the butterflies from Leonie's Flight to Freedom set a few times onto patterned paper and cut them out. One is cut in half so it looks as if the butterfly is seen from the side.
The flowers were cut from a co-ordinating paper and I layered them up with a matching background paper and a sentiment from Leonie's Off She Flew set stamped onto white card.
Some borders doodled with a black fineliner pen finish it off.

Funky Flower for Leonie
Hello lovely peeps
Just popping in to show you a quick card from the archives that I made with the heart stamp from Leonie's Off She Flew set.
I stamped the heart seven times onto pink patterned paper and twice onto green paper, then cut them all out. For the centre of my flower I die-cut a circle from the green paper and stamped one of the sentiments from the Flight to Freedom set in the middle. I drew stitches around the edge of the circle with a black fineliner pen to match the hearts.
The pink hearts were then arranged as 'petals' around the circle and the green ones were used as leaves. My stem was a piece of florist wire, attached at the back of the flower with silicone glue.
I also used florist wire to make antennae for my ladybird, the ends were curled around my pokey tool. Her body is just a circle die-cut from red paper, and black spots made with a regular hole punch.
The background layer of the card is the reverse of some white card that I ran through the 'Gothic Script' A4 embossing folder from Crafters Companion.

Create with all your heART for Leonie
Just popping in to show you how I made this colourful heART card for Leonie's sale shows on Hochanda TV today.
First I cut the Funky Heart Base from watercolor card and then placed a few of the Art masks over the top of the 'innie' bit.
I dabbed over with twisted citron Distress Ink
then over-stamped with two of the patterns from Branching Out
masking off as I went with sticky notes
Next for the outlines - I sprinkled Crimson Brusho powder onto more watercolour card
and spritzed with water
then repeated with Purple Brusho

These were used to make the heart outlines, cut with the Funky Heart Base (purple) and Hearts and Swirls Overlay (red) dies
I wanted my sentiment to go around the edge of the heart, so I used the die-cuts as a template to draw in pencil on my card blank roughly where I wanted the heart to go.
I drew another line in pencil a couple of cm away, to stamp the sentiment along.

Fishy Shaker for Leonie
Hello lovely peeps, and welcome to my new followers. I'm delighted to see you here :)
Today's card is the one that appeared on the packaging for Leonie's 'In a Spin' die from the Mixed Media collection. I can't tell you what a thrill it was to receive a packaged die from the lovely people at Crafters Companion.
To start off I cut an aperture in a piece of patterned paper with the die, and then cut it again from some sturdy white card.

To start off I cut an aperture in a piece of patterned paper with the die, and then cut it again from some sturdy white card.
Next I taped some acetate on the back and put foam tape all the way around the aperture.
To make my background I cut a vague fishy shape from a waste bit of rubber, glued it onto a block and stamped all over a patterned paper.
I glued this onto a 6x6 base card and sprinkled some sequins on before attaching the shaker aperture.
I've finished off with a lighthouse stamp from Inkylicious and a sentiment from the Flight to Freedom set stamped onto some die cut circles.
Don't forget you can win some fab Leonie stash, plus other goodies, in my giveaway.

Off She Flew for Leonie
Hello lovely peeps, hope you are well.
Welcome to my two new followers, I'm thrilled to have you :)
Welcome to my two new followers, I'm thrilled to have you :)
First I made my own ink spritzer by colouring a piece of kitchen towel with a Spectrum Aqua pen and placing it into a spritzer bottle with water (a brilliant tip I got from the colourist Sarah Hurley). I think for this card I used 'Evergreen'.
I put a Clarity seedheads stencil on top of a piece of Sheena's white stamping card, spritzed through it then removed the stencil & dried the card with a heat gun.
Next I stamped parts of the 'Flights of Fancy Background' and some butterflies from 'Flight to Freedom' onto tissue paper with black archival ink.

I glued the tissue paper onto my background with Mod Podge and doodled some lines around the edges

Next I stamped up one of the fab sentiments from the 'Off she flew' set onto white card. I wanted to have the lines separated but there is not a lot of space in between the lines on the stamp, so I inked up the sentiment one line at a time by covering the other lines with post-it notes. After stamping one line I cleaned & dried the stamp before inking up the next one.

I added some Crystal Glamour Dust to her wings for a little touch of bling
The finished piece was then mounted onto a 7x7 white card blank

With all your Heart for Leonie
Good evening lovely peeps.
Leonie is launching her new stamps this evening on Hochanda TV and they are all gorgeous. I anticipate another sell-out (possibly before the end of the first hour).
Leonie is launching her new stamps this evening on Hochanda TV and they are all gorgeous. I anticipate another sell-out (possibly before the end of the first hour).
This is my favourite card out of all the ones I made and I was chuffed to bits to find out that it features on the packaging. How fab is that? What a huge honour.
So, here's a little bit about how I made it. All the stamps I've used are in the Flight to Freedom set.
I wanted a colourful inky background so I dug out my mini Distress Inks (spiced marmalade, mustard seed, worn lipstick) and some glossy card.
To start off I stamped the smallest butterfly all over my card with Versamark ink. I then dabbed my 3 ink pads randomly around my craft mat, spritzed them with water and dragged the card through it to transfer the colour.

Hmm, OK but a teensy bit abstract and I don't like the way the colour has pooled.
So I grabbed a fresh piece of glossy card, spritzed some more water onto my mat and dragged the card through (no butterflies this time)
Much happier with the second one, so I stamped a few hearts along the bottom with worn lipstick and then stamped the sentiment on using Timber Brown Stazon
Next I stamped some butterflies onto super smooth 120gsm paper with Cocoa Memento ink and cut them out.
I've mounted the card panel onto dark brown paper and then onto a 7x7 card and (after 30 minutes arranging and re-arranging, lol) I glued the butterflies on top.
