Writing with Dominoes

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well.

Just popping in to share the birthday card I made for my cousin, using the 'Domino' stamp set by Tracey Hey. I love all the cute little critters (though I'm not sure what the one I've coloured dark brown actually is, lol).

After a bit of planning I stamped the various domino shapes onto a piece of 240gsm card folded in half using black Memento ink, then coloured with Copic markers.

Instead of using the separate dot stamps as numbers I used them as the basis for letters (so 'N' is the 6 with an extra dot in the middle, T is the 3 used vertically with a dot either side, etc.) The '1' did a lot of the heavy lifting here.

On the inside I stamped another of the domino characters, with a subtle nod to my cousin's age in case she's feeling a bit sensitive about hitting a certain milestone :D

I also stamped on the envelope, masking off most of the domino before inking and then drawing in the address box afterwards.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:-

Creative Knockouts #453 Finish the inside

Passion For Markers Challenge  #642 spots and/or stripes

Crafty Animals  #61 AG with an animal

Crafty Catz #596  AG option add some pink

Thanks for stopping by, stay safe
