I bought these fabulous stamps a few weeks ago (Aall & Create set #463 'The Gentlemen')
While digging through my stencils to see what I could use for the background I found 'wood pile' (Aall & Create #63) and suddenly thought 'lumberjack', lol.
The Lumberjack Song is one of my favourite Monty Python sketches, I've been humming it ever since I made the card (apologies to hubby - it must be driving him mad).
In the famous sketch they are wearing check shirts so I added some horizontal stripes to the stamped image with a black fineliner and coloured it in with Copic markers/Graph'Its.
Next I covered the stencil with Vintage Photo distress oxide and spritzed it with water before placing it face down onto watercolour paper and pressing down all over.
For the blue piece I inked up my craft mat with Faded Jeans distress oxide and spritzed with water before dragging the watercolour paper through it. Once that was dry I used the same technique as above with #71 Steam Cogs.
I die-cut the main image with the largest X-cut circle die and printed the sentiment off from my computer, layering up on red card.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:-
Country View Crafts' Challenge use a stencil or two
