Little alpaca herd

I've been having a play with one of the stamps in the 'Friends' set by Tracey Hey and made myself a mini herd of alpacas.

The one on the left is the image as it comes in the set, I used masking and mirror stamping to do the other two.

After stamping and masking off the first one I wiped the stamp and reinked just the head (with grey memento) and stamped it onto a sheet of mylar. Mylar is the stuff stencils are made from  (I got it at The Craft Store), but I've used acetate on previous projects with some success.

I then turned the mylar upside down and transferred the image onto the card to the right of the first alpaca - the head is now pointing the other way.

After wiping the stamp again and inking up everything except the head I stamped the body underneath the head (tip - leave a little gap in case they're not quite aligned, you can join them up with a pencil).

I repeated the process again to get my third alpaca, but covered up the little bird whilst inking.

With the stamping all done I coloured the three alpacas in with Copic markers
left: E71, E74, E77, E49
middle: E40, E41, E70
right: E53, E35, E23, E37

The sentiment is also part of the Friends set - I stamped it onto vellum with versamark ink and covered with Stampendous shabby taupe embossing powder before heating. I cut it out with a small border before glueing it in the corner.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:-

As You Like It Challenge Favourite tip & use it on your project - mask off parts of your stamp when inking if there is part of it you don't want on the project (especially useful if you want to adapt a sentiment, though here I've done it just to remove the bird from one of the alpacas).
