Another CAS card today but this time just using dies/punches.
I bought this lovely 'Country Rose' panel die (Sizzix thinlits) a couple of years ago but as usual it's been sat unused since then. I came to the conclusion a while ago that my main hobby is actually shopping for craft supplies rather than crafting :D

It's a lovely design but I think I need a new die-cutting machine as I couldn't get a clean cut over the whole area, despite running it through a few times.
Rather than waste the bits that did cut out I chopped it down and glued it on top of a piece of pink adorable scorable card. I used cuttlebug alphabet dies and a small punch to cut the 'Mum' & heart from red adorable scorable card then mounted the topper on a 7"x7" card blank with 3D foam.
I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
NBUS #24 (panel die)
Dies R Us Challenge #164 AG with dies from company they stock (Sizzix)
Cardz 4 Galz #141 mother's day or for a special lady
Crafty Gals Corner #216 add a heart
Unicorn Challenge #63 make it feminine
AAA #184 sketch opt watercolour
Thanks for stopping by, stay safe

You made me smile with the observation about your hobby being buying and not crafting! My other half would agree that mine is the same...!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty panel Kat and has made a lovely card. x
Great use of a badly behaved die cut. It looks like it was supposed to be like that. Thanks for joining in our challenge at Cardz 4 Galz Dawn S DT x
ReplyDeleteHa that's a hobby most crafters can relate to! Your card is so beautiful and a great result of that die cut, so frustrating when that happens. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Stay safe and keep crafting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Katrina. I think my main hobby is the same as yours too. 🤣 Xx
ReplyDeleteHow lovely!!
ReplyDeleteNothing worse than not getting a clean cut, even with shims and repeated passes, so your save is inspiration and beautiful, Katrina! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! It's lovely to meet you and become your newest follower and I'd love for you to follow me on my blogs, too. Keep well! (p.s. Welcome to the Association of Craft Shoppers, lol!
