Summer Leaves

A bit of watercolour stamping for you today using a beautiful set called 'Summer Leaves' by Stampendous (I've had these for over 10 years but bizarrely not made much use of them).

I find I get the best results with this technique if I stamp once onto scrap paper and then spritz the stamp with water before stamping onto my project.

To get a little variation in the colour I used Distress Oxide inks.  I only have a couple of greens so for the leaf in the 'west' position I used Twisted Citron and then overstamped with Iced Spruce. The purple leaf was done with Wilted Violet.

Other ingredients:
stamping platform
Fancy Sayings by Clearly Besotted
black Versafine ink
Pink Frog crafts watercolour 280
A6 card blank
enamel dots

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-

Thanks for stopping by, stay safe

  3. Beautiful! Great way to stretch your ink colours, too. I like how they really do look like leaf prints. (I won't be seeing leaves in nature for several weeks yet!) Thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
