Sledging Penguin

Hello lovely peeps, I hope you are well.

Another penguin for you today - this is Frosty Fun, an old rubber stamp from Lili of the Valley.

He's coloured in with Promarkers:
Scarf: Tea Green, Soft Green, Crimson, Burgundy
Penguin Body: Cool Grey 1-5, Black
Feet: Apricot, Amber, Burnt Orange
Sledge: Sandstone, Caramel, Umber

To make the card base I scored a 16.5cm x 15cm piece of acetate down the short edge at 1.5cm then attached it to a 15cm square piece of white card using strong red liner tape.

I covered the back half of the card with a paper from an ancient Dovecraft 8x8" paper pad called 'Let It Snow'.

For the snowy slope I just used a craft knife to cut a shape from white card, then coloured the edge with a stripe of Cool Grey 1 Promarker. I used my stamping platform to add the sentiment (Large Christmas Greetings from Lili of the Valley)

To attach it to the card I put a fine line of Cosmic Shimmer glue along the top and bottom edges at the back and glued it to the acetate. After attaching the penguin to the front with silicone glue I still felt like it needed something else.

I cut another slope to go on the inside of the card and also some mini pine trees = they're from a border die that I can't find the packaging for but I think it is by Memory Box/Poppystamps.

Edit: I found it, it’s’Tree Landscape’ by Clearly Besotted

The finished card looks a bit more balanced.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
