Hello lovely peeps
We did these spinning wheel cards at our last club session - there's a great video on Sandy Allnock's blog showing how to make them.
I used one of the Unicorns in the set from Simply Sweet stamps, along with some of the sentiments in the set. Normally I would have stamped the sentiment(s) through the aperture straight onto the wheel but since they are digi stamps I needed to be more creative.
With a temporary wheel in place I drew through the cloud aperture with a pencil, then span it around and repeated until I had four clouds drawn onto the wheel.
I scanned this into my computer and then in CraftArtist I dragged on and rotated the sentiments in position over the top of the clouds (one is from the Fairies set). I added in an extra circle shape so I could see where the circle die needed to go then printed it off onto 300gsm card (without the cloud 'background').
Once this was die-cut I attached it in place on the card where the temporary wheel had been. As you spin the wheel the different sentiments are revealed.
I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
Brown Sugar #280 2 pattern papers
Crafting By Designs Anything Goes in August
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #86 Anything Goes
2 Crafty Critter Crazies #17 Anything Goes with a critter
Thanks for stopping by,
Katrina x
