New Triangle Home

For today's card I've used the Simply Print version of 'A New Adventure' from Lili of the Valley

I haven't made one of these triangular cards for a few years but my friend's daughter moved into a triangular flat last week so it seemed the perfect opportunity to make one again.

I wanted the card to fit in a 5"x7" envelope and made a mock up in paper with 12.5cm squares, which seemed to fit ok. Unfortunately the finished card was a lot thicker and didn't fit so I ended up putting it in a C5 envelope. Next time I'll start with 12cm squares :o)

So, I cut three 12.5cm x 12.5cm squares from 300gsm white card and scored them in half diagonally.

 To decorate I cut 12cm squares from 3 different papers and cut them on the diagonal before glueing onto the card panels.

Then I glued the 3 panels together like this

and glued on hook & loop fasteners (Joycrafts) to keep it together when standing up.

For the topper I printed off the '4 to a page' size of Simply Print and cut one of them down. To get the arched top I ran it through my die-cutting machine with a large circle die -leaving the bottom half hanging out over the edge of the 'sandwich' so it didn't cut that part.

I added a sentiment from LOTV's Block Sentiments set and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
