Hello lovely peeps
I've got another embossed card for you today, this time using the Purrfect set from Simply Sweet Stamps and a Catitudes folder from Crafters Companion.
I wanted an inky background for the bodies of the cats so I started by dabbing salty ocean, wilted violet and worn lipstick distress inks onto my non-stick craft mat. I spritzed on water and then dragged some watercolour paper through (Daler Rowney Fine Grain Cartridge 160gsm). I dried with my heat gun then dabbed the paper back down into the ink droplets to pick up texture.
After drying the paper thoroughly I printed off some of the cats onto it. (You don't have to be quite so fussy with your placement as me - I scanned the inky paper in first then positioned the cats in CraftArtist over the sections that I liked).
I also printed the cats onto white paper and cut them out with a 0.5-1mm margin including the tails and whiskers. After glueing these in the bottom right hand corner of my card I cut just the bodies from the inky paper and glued them in place over the top.
The strips at the top of the card are from the unused sections of my inky paper, arranged with one of the sentiments in the set.
I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
